Many people ask for the latest YES channels change and find it difficult to replace the channels.xml file. I've decided it worth a new release. The MegaEPG 1.2.2 is available in the Downloads section. The new YES Movies channel, YES HD channels and corrected MGM and Discovery channels are in the release. Linux users experiencing wrong Hebrew direction in Linux systems may now use the new forceflip switch in the megaepg.ini. There are also few cosmetic changes in the installer: no DOS windows are opened anymore when installing the Vista service.
A minor upgrade MegaEPG 1.2.1 has been released in the Downloads section. The most significant change is the updated list of Israeli YES and HOT channels. I completely reviewed all the existing channels list and made a lot of corrections. To name a few, channels HOT Gold, HOT Kids and Amateur Babes were added for HOT; channels Logi, Planeta Sport, Knesset and Russia Today were added for YES. Many channels in YES and HOT changed their STB numbers (I have no idea why they change channel numbers so often!), there are also removed channels. You are advised to upgrade.
MegaEPG 1.2.0 has been released, see the Downloads section. It includes support for Norway and few bug fixes and improvements (the complete list is in Docs/ChangeLog.txt).
The new 1.1.2 update finally fixes the annoying Windows 64 bit issue. Users with 64 bit versions of Windows XP, MCE or Vista should download and use the release. This is the only fix in the release.
Quite an important MegaEPG update has been released (see the Downloads section). There are updates in some scripts due to output format modifications in the providers' sources. Some changes in the 1.1.1 version:
For a complete list of changes please refer to Docs\ChangeLog.txt.
MegaEPG 1.1.0 beta has been released (see the Downloads section). The next major version design is not progressing as rapidly as I want it to, therefore I decided to make an intermediate release. It introduces the following features:
Try it and provide your feedback. This intermediate release will be supported in conjunction with the version 2 development.
MegaEPG 1.0.3 has been released (see the Downloads section). This is a maintenance release. The only change is a significant channels update: Sport1, Sport2, Sport5 Live, Sport5 Gold, Food, LBC, IETV, TVRI, Daystar, Inter+, Ego Total, Amateur, Raduga and others were added/updated. HOT scripts were updated in order to obtain new channels as well.
MegaEPG 1.0.2 beta has been released (see the Downloads section). vista_he script now parses the subtitle and episode numbers. This is important for people that record series. The previous fix of the exception in the script (empty show category) is also in the release. I slightly changed the output format of the MCE EPG file for better series processing therefore the release is declared as beta. I do not expect any problems with it however.
A change in Microsoft EPG causes the vista_he script make an exception and terminate the MegaEPG without producing the guide. The script expected every show to have a category and today's EPG contains shows without category assigned. For the quickest workaround, please replace the vista_he.pyc file in the MegaEPG\Script directory with this corrected version (link removed since the corrected script is now a part of the release). Only the provided single file update is required. I will prepare a complete setup package for the version 1.0.2 with this fix included; the quick patch just lets you bring the MegaEPG back to work immediately.
MegaEPG 1.0.1 has been released (see the Downloads section). The only change in the release is the automatic timezone detection. A big mess with one hour shifting should come to the end now. You don't need to specify the tzoffset parameter anymore (in fact it'll be ignored if the timezone data is successfully obtained from the Windows OS).
Before using the version, set your system timezone back to the Israel Daylight time (Israel timezone, daylight adjustment checkbox is checked).
You can skip this version if you never experienced the shifting problem (for example, you don't use the vista_he script). Linux users may still need to specify the tzoffset parameter if your version of wine fails to autodetect the system timezone.
